Yonelle Baptiste - MTA Long Island Rail Road

My name is Yonelle Baptiste. I am a Sr. Project Manager and transportation professional with more than 15 years of experience. I have a multi-disciplinary background in engineering (Electrical and Civil), construction management, and project management. I’m currently working at the Metropolitan Transit Authority Long Island Rail Road (MTA LIRR), one of the busiest commuter railroad in the United States. I am a well-rounded professional who served in multiple roles and many levels with both on the job site and management experience. Sample projects include design and construction of the Flushing Main Street station, design of Stewart Manor and Lynbrook Station Improvements project, and construction of the Nostrand Avenue station rehabilitation project. I earned a MBA from Colorado Technical University and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from New York Institute of Technology. Some of my core competencies are Project Management, Project Engineering, 3rd Party Contract Oversight, Construction Management, Budgeting/ Forecasting, Scope Development. I enjoy what I do, and if I had to choose a career in another life, I would choose the same career. I am a member of Project Management Institute (PMI) and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).
