Angel Langumas, Architecture Student - Cornell University
Future architect, lifelong designer and humanitarian. Currently, a fourth-year student at Cornell University (B.Arch '23) and Hunter R. Rawlings III Presidential Research Scholar. This means I'm carrying out independent research while simultaneously taking advanced design option studios. I'm interested in architecture design that goes against a normative grain to create poetic spaces. My professional experience spans from designing at large companies like STV, marketing for non-profit organizations such as ACE Mentor Program, fundraising for The Nature Conservancy, to teaching highschoolers architecture with UPenn for The Fresh Air Fund. Between my professional, academic and volunteer experiences, I have been equipped with a sharp set of skills. Within all of these, I've strengthened my passion for boosting opportunities and spaces that are equitable for underrepresented people. I was born and raised in Queens, New York. I'm a music enthusiast, casual bicyclist, photographer, and public spirit. A fellow ACE Mentor NY alum and Cooper SatPro alum. A proud First-Gen student and son of hardworking Dominican immigrants. Always looking to connect with others and give back.
