National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) NYC Professionals
NSBE NYC aims to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact their communities. With over 33,000 members worldwide, it fosters leadership and connects companies to top talent. Founded at Purdue University in 1975, NSBE became a non-profit in 1976. The NSBE NYC Professionals Chapter was established in 1990 to support Black technical professionals and engineers in the tri-state area. The chapter provides networking, career development, and mentorship opportunities to members and supports outreach to underserved communities. For nearly 35 years, the chapter has impacted thousands of STEM professionals, students and partnered with countless corporations and organizations.
