Cemex and Taronga Ventures - Investment in Voyage Control
A lot of our strategy centers around working throughout the entire value chain associated with the built environment, and CRE, and so there is immense value partnering with one organization focused on transforming their part of the supply chain, and the other that is helping owners, developers and property funds invest in technology businesses. While we work across a number of different sectors - events, construction, facilities management and ports, there are a number of common threads, perhaps the biggest of which is that many of these Real Assets have the same owners, who are looking for opportunities to not only improve operational efficiencies across their portfolios, but also find ways to strategically address their net zero environmental goals.
At a grassroots level, this starts with the basics of managing deliveries into any type of client site that we support around the world. However, the bigger strategic opportunity is around optimizing entire supply chains, something we are already doing with some of our clients. Starting this in a multi-trillion dollar sector seems to be a good place to start, and then look at how we can then expand into other sectors. Fortunately in supporting a mix of over 100 owners, operators and construction firms globally, we have a clear understanding of what our clients need now and into the future and what the global best practice should be. Partnering with both Cemex and Taronga now, and other similarly aligned investors in the future will allow us to harness their already extensive networks and knowledge to do this even more quickly around the world, while also providing key additional resources to support our growth. The network effect that we already have, and hope to achieve, will also help our customers meet their strategic goals and obligations, particularly in helping to reduce the environmental impact of the built environment.
