Core Solutions Group delivers integrated electrical and technology systems for complex commercial projects. Led by President and CEO Ray Hanratty, the company brings multiple building systems under one operating model to improve coordination, accountability, and performance. Ahead of New York Build, we spoke with Ray about how integrated delivery is shaping modern construction. 

1. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about Core Solutions Group and the type of electrical work and services you specialise in? 
 
Core Solutions Group is a portfolio of integrated construction and building systems specialists that delivers electrical and technology-driven infrastructure for complex commercial, institutional, and mission-critical projects. Through our operating companies, we specialize in high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, lighting and controls, fire and life safety, building automation, AV, and technology integration.  
 
2. You work across complex construction projects. What sets Core Solutions Group apart, and what do clients rely on you for most? 
 
What sets Core Solutions Group apart is how we integrate people, processes, and systems across multiple disciplines. Clients rely on us for predictability and accountability on projects where failure is not an option. Because our companies operate under a shared leadership and operating system, we eliminate the friction that often exists between separate trades. The result is fewer handoffs, clearer responsibility, and a team that operates as a single unit rather than disconnected contractors. 
 
3. The construction industry is changing quickly, especially when it comes to electrification and building systems. What key trends are you seeing on projects right now? 
 
We’re seeing rapid growth in electrification and systems convergence across nearly every project type. Buildings are becoming more power-dense, more data-driven, and more interconnected. Owners are also placing greater emphasis on flexibility and future-proofing, expecting buildings to adapt over time. These trends favor integrated delivery models like ours, where electrical and technology systems are planned together rather than in isolation. It's a very exciting time for the industry and for Core. 
 
4. With increasing focus on energy performance, safety, and reliability, how are electrical contractors adapting to meet higher expectations? 
 
Meeting today’s expectations requires a shift from traditional trade execution to systems-based thinking and disciplined operations. We’ve invested heavily in front-end planning, standardized QA/QC, workforce training, digital project controls, and safety culture. Reliability and performance are designed into our process long before installation begins. Clients expect infrastructure that works on day one and continues to perform for years, and that only happens when execution is intentional, coordinated, and accountable. 
 
5. You’re exhibiting at New York Build this year – what can visitors expect when they come to your stand, and who would you most like to connect with? 
 
Visitors will see a clear representation of our integrated building systems delivery – how we bring electrical and technology scopes together, coordinated to deliver complex projects with greater certainty and control.
