PRESENTATION: Technology Program Leadership: Strategy, Planning, and Direction
Across the AEC industry, organizations generate vast amounts of data. Yet, much of it goes unused, while projects continue to suffer from rework, delays, and fragmented decision-making. This session begins by examining why the challenge is not a lack of technology, but a lack of program-level direction, governance, and ownership around how data is used. Building on this foundation, the session introduces Program Technology Management as a people-led discipline that connects data, tools, and stakeholders across three horizons: stabilizing today’s operations, integrating and standardizing near-term workflows, and innovating toward future program intelligence. Attendees will learn how to move beyond reporting data to operationalizing it - enabling better decisions, reduced risk, and scalable outcomes across large, complex programs.
