Angie Xiong - WSP

Angie Xiong

Assistant Vice President, WSP

Angie Xiong is an Assistant Vice President on WSP’s Sustainability, Energy, and Climate Change (SECC) practice, bringing over 13 years of experience in greenhouse gas accounting,  decarbonization targets and strategy, and climate resilience. She leads SECC’s Science Based Targets subdomain and has guided numerous organizations in developing science‑aligned greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets, including more than a dozen validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Most recently, Angie has helped clients navigate emerging target-setting guidance, develop decarbonization roadmaps, and complete annual reporting and disclosures (e.g., CDP, GRESB).

With a background as an educator and community engagement practitioner, Angie brings a people‑centered lens to complex climate work, pairing technical analysis with engagement to create actionable strategies that lay the groundwork for implementation. Prior to joining WSP, Angie led over a dozen climate action and adaptation planning projects for jurisdictions and public agencies in California as an AICP-certified planner. This work has enabled her clients to meet and exceed regulatory requirements, implement GHG reduction measures and adaptation strategies, and protect communities who are most vulnerable to climate impacts.
