Assad Tabatabaie
Assad Tabatabaie, PE is the director of engineering services at Shawmut Design and Construction in New York. With over 15 years of experience, Assad leads the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and close-out. Drawing on his strong technical foundation in design and hands-on construction experience, Assad bridges the gap between idea and execution, helping transform complex projects from concept to reality. His portfolio of projects include the Powerhouse Arts in Gowanus, Brooklyn, the Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center, and the upcoming Plaza Athénée Nobu Hotel & Spa New York.
Assad holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from SUNY Binghamton and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
