Ayse Polat is currently Regional VDC Manager in New York Business Unit at Turner Construction Company. Polat has over 20 year experience in the architecture and construction industry. She has spent the past 15 years implementing, developing, and managing projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. For the past 11 Years, Polat has been part of Turner Construction’s New York BIM Group. She currently serves as the Regional BIM Manager and manages the largest BIM department in the Turner organization, with a team of over 32 professionals that support the New York Business Unit’s entire current BIM workload.
Throughout her career at Turner, she has worked on several iconic projects such as Madison Square Garden, NY Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Langone Medical Center and The Spiral at 66 Hudson Boulevard. She is a licensed architect in the state of NY and LEED certified professional with Building design and construction specialty. For the past two years, Polat has been teaching BIM for virtual design and construction courses to graduate students at the New York University Schack Institute at NYU and is a certified instructor for AGC BIM training and certification.
