Ayse Polat
Ayse Polat is Turner Construction’s Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Director, overseeing VDC operations for the BC1 (Northeast) region. With over two decades of experience, she specializes in Virtual Design and Construction and Building Information Modeling (BIM), delivering services across the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction through post-construction.
Ayse is known for pushing the boundaries of innovation in the AEC industry, leading initiatives in advanced VDC applications, digital operations integration, in-house laser scanning services, and digital twin development to support both construction and facilities management.
Her portfolio includes many high-profile and complex projects, such as the Madison Square Garden Renovation, NYU Langone’s Kimmel Pavilion, New York-Presbyterian’s David Koch Ambulatory Care Center, 550 Washington Street Redevelopment, and Tishman Speyer’s The Spiral.
A licensed architect, Ayse is also deeply committed to education and mentorship. She teaches at Columbia University and previously at New York University, helping shape the next generation of industry professionals. In addition, she is an active contributor and frequent speaker within industry organizations and events, including CVU Smart Buildings and the NIBS Facility Management & Operations Council.
