Miss Makhene’s background is in consulting in CMI (construction material and innovation) Her work is mainly centred on the use of sustainable materials and in their innovative applications in building design and construction techniques. She did her M(Arch) in Urban Design at the Venice Institute of Architecture as well as a post graduate in Sustainable Development at Stellenbosch University. She is a consultant in design strategies as well as a strategic partner in leading design studio in Cape Town.
