In his role as Senior Vice President at Skanska, Daniel Maldonado is responsible for leading the company’s planning and execution of strategies to increase sales and company growth across a variety of sectors in the region’s real estate and construction market.
Mr. Maldonado is a 28-year veteran of the construction industry and has spent over 20 years working in various Skanska offices all over the world, including the Metro New York office since 2010. He has far-reaching experience in project management and business development both domestically and internationally, where he played a key role in client relationship, innovation and operations; and managed major pricing decisions for the benefit of Skanska’s clients around the world.
A graduate from the National University of Salta, Argentina, Mr. Maldonado holds degrees in both Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering. He has a master degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundations and a master in Project Management, both from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Spain, and received his MBA degree from Austral University, Argentina. He graduated from the Partnership for New York City’s David Rockefeller Fellows Program in New York City as well.
Mr. Maldonado is Board of Van Alen Institute, participates in Boards and Steering committees of various Industry Organizations in NYC, among them; ABNY (Association for Better New York), CORENET (Corporate Real Estate), NYBC (New York Building Congress) and Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure (AIAI). He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Newark Regional Partnership (NRBP) in Newark, NJ and on the advisory board at the customer experience program at Rutgers University.
He is fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
