Director of Sustainability, FXCollaborative
Daniel Piselli joined FXCollaborative in 2005. He was named a Senior Associate in 2015 and Director of Sustainability in 2018. He has 20 years of experience and has led design teams on educational, cultural, residential and infrastructure projects. Dan has extensive experience in sustainable design including many LEED projects and other more focused efforts. He co-authored a research study entitled “Feasibility Study to Implement the Passive House Standard on Tall Residential Buildings”, and presented the results widely. He recently led a redesign of New York City school design standards to drastically reduce city school energy use. He is also an industry leader in bird-friendly building design, and is a board member of the Bird-Safe Glass Foundation. At FXCollaborative, Dan guides the office's sustainability strategy and implements sustainability efforts on multiple projects.
