Acting Commissioner, NYC Department of Design and Construction

Eduardo del Valle has over thirty-five years of experience in the fields of design and construction management, including alternative delivery and design-build. Twenty years of experience at senior management level, including reconstruction of the $3.8-billion One World Trade Center project, as well as approximately $12 billion in numerous new construction, renovation, rehabilitation and adaptive re-use projects, and facility and infrastructure expansion and capital improvement initiatives in the public and private sectors.

Appointed by the NYC Mayor in 2025 as Acting Commissioner to oversee the NYC Department of Design and Construction's (DDC) $34 billion public portfolio. As the City's primary capital construction project manager, DDC currently has hundreds of public buildings and infrastructure projects underway throughout the five boroughs. Previously, as the DDC Deputy Commissioner for Mega Projects, responsible for managing the City's critical $16 billion Borough-Based Jails Program
