Erin Sharp Newton, M. Arch, is a recognized design leader and advocate who champions the impact of the built environment on mental health and well-being. She serves as the Director of the Centre for Urban Design and Mental Health (UD/MH), is Chair of AIANJ Women in Architecture, an educator at Kean University, and was the 2024 President of AIA Central NJ. With Master’s degrees from UCLA and Domus Academy in Milan, Erin has extensive experience driving award-winning, human-centered design projects. She is dedicated to bridging systemic gaps in community infrastructure through compassionate, equitable design and industry advocacy.
