Evan Lapointe is a Principal in the Structural Engineering Practice of Thornton Tomasetti’s New York City office.  He has extensive experience with reinforced concrete analysis and design, particularly with mid-rise and high-rise multifamily residential and mixed-use construction in complicated urban environments.  In addition to his multifamily housing expertise, Evan has engineered an array of building types, including steel-framed commercial and mission-critical structures, cultural institutions, embassies, adaptive re-use projects, and historic preservation projects.   Evan has led the structural design of various projects in the New York City metropolitan region with involvement spanning from the pre-concept stage through completion of construction.  He completed his undergraduate studies at The Cooper Union and later earned a master’s degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
