Hammad Ahsan
Hammad Ahsan is a Project Manager at Martin Hopp Architect (MHA), where he has been a key member of the team since joining the firm in 2021. He has played a central role in the design and delivery of Evergreen Charter School in Hempstead, New York—an 89,000 SF hybrid mass timber K–12 school that has become a leading example of healthy, high-performance school design. The project received a 2022 WoodWorks Mass Timber Award and has drawn national attention for demonstrating how mass timber can support ambitious environmental goals while serving underserved communities.
Hammad also helped lead the development of Ganeinu Academy in Queens, a 44,000 SF multi-phased school project that combines a new mass timber structure with the renovation of a mid-century concrete and brick building.
With over eight years of professional experience, Hammad brings an international perspective shaped by work in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Pakistan. His portfolio spans educational, institutional, commercial, and residential projects, with experience ranging from large university campuses and corporate headquarters to boutique residential renovations.
Prior to joining MHA, Hammad worked for five years at various offices in New York, Pakistan, and the UK while running his own experimental practice.
