Ian Rowburrey
Ian has over 30 years of experience in the Commercial, Industrial and Utility HVAC industry with a specific focus on boiler related projects. For 23 years, he has been with Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. (“MPN”) assisting NYC MEP Engineers and building owners with the design and implementation of a wide variety of hydronic and steam. Due to his hands-on background as a licensed Marine Engineer and experience as a field service engineer, he is able to assist with every element of a typical boiler installation from the fuel oil unloading port to the stack outlet. His focus is on providing customers with the heating system designs that emphasize simplicity, cost effectiveness and use of latest technologies.
With Local Law (“LL”) 97 amended in 2019, Ian and the leadership team at Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. realized a pivot was needed to address the new decarbonization challenges for NYC. In 2022, this challenge resulted in Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. working diligently to become the first representative for Oilon ChillHeat Water Source Heat Pumps in the United States. By the addition of the Oilon product line to MPN’s successful representation of other manufacturers such as Cleaver Brooks, Critical Fuel Systems and Selkirk Pre-fabricated flue systems, it has allowed Ian and MPN to tackle even the most difficult LL 97 and 154 challenges.
The Oilon product line addresses the shortcomings of typical Heat Pump Manufacturers. Due to the water-to-water technology, MPN can provide heating hot water temperatures up to 248 deg. F. The units are capable of simultaneous heating and cooling with COPs as high as 7.5 to 8. Most importantly, these units are UL Approved and ready for installation in NYC.
Having over 20 years’ experience with heating systems in the NYC Metro area, Ian and Miller Proctor Nickolas, Inc. are well positioned to provide the best solution that fits your building’s specific needs to comply with LL 97. To learn more, click the link below:
