Ilkay Can-Standard is the Founder of GENx Design & Technology, a WBE-certified digital delivery and project management firm serving New York, the U.S., and international markets. She brings 19 years of global experience across 10 countries, with a career spanning architecture, construction, and manufacturing for high rise and infrastructure project.

She leads multidisciplinary teams on complex design-build, high-risk, and fast-track projects, strengthening coordination across disciplines and delivering fabrication-level, asset-ready models that reduce risk and protect schedule. Drawing from methodologies used in aerospace and advanced manufacturing, she advances integrated workflows that connect engineering, field execution, and long-term operations into a seamless delivery framework.

She has led complex design-build, high-risk, and fast-track projects, enabling globally distributed teams to operate seamlessly under demanding schedules. Her work strengthens coordination between disciplines, reduces gaps between design and construction, and improves reliability across project phases.

Ilkay serves as Chair of the Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) New York Board of Trustees and Chair of the Smart Technology Assembly, focusing on smart buildings and smart cities. She is actively engaged in industry leadership and research, contributing to innovation in digital delivery and sustainable urban development.
