James Perise
Jim is a licensed engineer with nearly three decades of experience designing fire protection systems for a broad range of facilities, including residential, commercial, institutional, transportation, and hospitality projects. As the national Technical Director of Plumbing and Fire Protection at STV, he oversees engineering teams across the country and contributes to numerous code committees and sustainability initiatives, advancing public safety while promoting responsible resource use.
Named ACEC’s 2022 Engineer of the Year, Jim is equally committed to cultivating the next generation of engineers. He enjoys mentoring students of all ages and emerging professionals by working with organizations such as the Salvadori Center, ACE Mentor, the NYC School Construction Authority Summer internship program, and several professional societies.
