Jan Wei
Jan leads Stantec’s buildings MEP system, specialty services, and commissioning group in the Northeast and has over 21 years of experience in managing high performance buildings, decarbonization and, energy design. He is a member of the Energy Committees with American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York, that has been an integral part of the LL97 development in New York City throughout the years.
Jan has recently been part of panel for the Large-Scale Infrastructure Decarbonization Project at the Decarb NY at where he shared the technical engineering analysis for a 120-acre site that currently houses 6,000 units of low-income family housing, with a 12 MW CHP plant that is looking to expand 9,000 additional new units to the site. Jan has also appeared as a guest on Building’s 2.0 podcast in 2024, where he shared his experiences in Smart Building, Digital Twins, Building Optimization and how it plays a role is Building Decarbonization and LL97 compliance strategies.
