Jon Colatrella is the Executive Director of HLZAE’s Engineering Department, with more than 20 years of experience leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and forensic projects across New York City. He oversees the design, installation, and investigation of major building system upgrades and capital improvements for residential and commercial properties, while supporting business development and day-to-day operations of the overall engineering department. Jon also provides expert witness consulting and works closely with building owners to address energy efficiency initiatives and compliance with Local Laws 87, 97, and 152. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York.
