Kate is an accomplished senior interior designer who puts a strong emphasis on design concepts and state-of-the-art materials to enhance human health and well-being in the built environment. Her fascination with materials and their selection began during her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She furthered her education in architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), obtaining a master’s in architecture. This additional qualification allows her to approach design holistically. At HLW, Kate has been instrumental in establishing a healthy materials library, facilitating panel discussions, creating learning initiatives, and educating designers on proper material usage. Her overarching dedication to human health, extending from nutrition to environmental impact, drives her meticulous research into products. This ensures that HLW's projects not only promote client well-being but also meet rigorous design and space planning objectives. Outside of work, Kate is passionate about mentoring her team with compassion, advocating for animal welfare, and spending time with her family.
