Kenneth R. Gehringer, AIA, CCCA, has 30 years of experience, 23 years with H2M architects & engineers, serving as an Assistant Studio Manager and Senior Architect. He wrote H2M’s first Cad standards when transitioning work from the drafting boards to AutoCAD and is leading the transition to Building Information Modeling. Mr. Gehringer has worked in New York and Florida. His varied experience includes commercial and residential real estate, automotive, fire & emergency services, municipal, United States Postal Service, historic restoration, NY Air National Guard projects, water and wastewater treatment buildings, hospitality, religious, equestrian, and local school district work. Mr. Gehringer studied architecture at Clemson University and New York Institute of Technology where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning the Gold Medal for Achievement in Architecture. His memberships include the American Institute of Architects where he serves as the Long Island Chapter Secretary, Construction Specifications Institute where he serves as Long Island Chapter Vice President, and the International Code Council. He is also a New York State Code Enforcement Official and has assisted various local municipalities with plan reviews and construction inspections. Prior speaking engagements include seminars on Masterformat for CSI and the Building Code for Lorman Education Services.
