Lukas Utzig
Lukas Utzig is a Director at LAVA. His background is in large public projects such as stadia and tourism infrastructure with a focus on computational design. He has previously been part of the design and construction of major venues such as the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup and the Lima 2019 Pan American Games. At LAVA, Lukas leads major building projects in the Middle East from Pre-Concept to Detailed Design as Lead Design Consultant of international design consortiums, for typologies in hospitality, exhibition and entertainment.
In addition to a BArch from the Bauhaus School, he holds a postgraduate degree from The Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Next to his professional work he has been teaching design methods at the University of the Arts Berlin and the Pratt-AA Visiting School New York. Lukas is a licensed Architect in Germany and Intl’ Assoc. AIA.
