Margarita Calero
Award-winning Spanish-American architect, designer, researcher, and educator with over 15 years of experience leading high-profile domestic and international commercial, institutional, and residential projects. Focused on creating social impact through environmentally responsible design informed by innovation, history, and cultural identity. Graduated in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and degrees in Architecture and Historic Preservation from the Universidad de Sevilla. Recipient of the Lucille Smyser Lowenfish Memorial Prize for Design Excellence from Columbia University. Currently serves as Design Associate Principal at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in New York and is a PhD candidate at the Universidad de Sevilla.
