Marie Milord is a Health, Safety, and Risk professional with over a decade of experience supporting construction and infrastructure projects across utility operations, power generation, transportation, and heavy civil construction. She currently serves as a Board Member of the ASSP NYC Chapter, supporting industry collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the construction and safety community. Her background spans from jobsites to boardrooms, providing a practical, systems-based perspective on managing risk in complex construction environments. Marie has supported large-scale construction projects across New York City, with a focus on contractor safety, process safety, hazard identification, accident investigation, and operational risk controls. Her work applies Human & Organizational Performance (HOP) principles and digital tools and technologies to advance sustainable construction by reducing risk at the source, strengthening workforce engagement, and supporting long-term operational resilience. Marie holds a B.S degree in Health, Safety and Sustainability, maintains multiple BCSP certifications, and OSHA 500. She has experience supporting ISO-aligned safety management systems and completed executive coursework in Organizational Leadership at Harvard Business School. She is the founder of The Bold and Safe, delivering community-based and construction technical training for school-aged youth, teens, and seasoned workers, centered on psychological and psychosocial safety, hazard awareness, and effective team communication.
