Mark Jaffe

President & CEO, Greater New York Chamber

Mark Jaffe is an attorney and the President and CEO of the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce. He was born and raised in Westchester County, NY. He graduated college cum laude from SUNY Albany, attended Graduate Business School at the University of Utah and Cardozo Law School in NYC.

During business school, Mark started a fundraising and consulting company for nonprofits throughout the United States. Mark’s understanding of economic development, local governments and entrepreneurship led to close working relationships with many Chamber’s of Commerce, the US Small Business Administration, the NYS Empire Development Corporation and the NYC Dept of Business Services.

In 1994 Mark was selected to serve on the Mayor’s Small Business Advisory Board for the City of NY. He spearheaded the rebuilding of downtown Brooklyn and in 2002 Mark was selected to be the treasurer of the Manhattan Boro Development Corporation where he was put in charge of monitoring the success of post 9/11 recovery efforts.

In 2002, Mark was also selected to be the President and CEO of the Greater NY Chamber where he has built a strong coalition of over 30,000 business and civic leaders throughout the Metro NY Area. He also serves as general counsel for the Chamber Legal Center, treasurer of the NY Chamber political action committee, trustee of the Chamber’s charitable fund and is the National Business Advisor for the Korean American Chamber of Commerce.

Mark is also an elected District leader in Harrison NY where he was put on the ballot for NY’s 16th Congressional District in 2022. He has received multiple economic development awards and has been recognized by both the President of the United States and the NY State Senate for his lifetime achievements.
