Matt Melody AIA, LEED AP is a Partner at Curtis+Ginsberg Architects where he has been instrumental in the firm’s growth and expansion. His experience working in California, Washington DC, and nearly 20 years of work in New York State and across all five boroughs of New York City has focused on designing large-scale mixed-use multi-family housing buildings for high sustainability and energy efficiency. In 2024-2025, he took part in EDC’s inaugural Mass Timber Studio analyzing the opportunities for Mass Timber Construction in NYC Housing. He has also contributed to other industry-wide analyses and research projects that resulted in changes to New York City’s zoning code, and C+GA’s Alternative to Shelter design analyses. In addition to guiding a variety of projects at C+GA, Matt also oversees the office’s constructability and technical detailing standards ensuring buildings are designed and built to the highest quality.
