Nathalie Waelbroeck is a Senior Sustainability Strategist at IBI Group working on transportation and sustainability projects. Her transportation experience includes large scale P3, design build, light rail, and bus rapid transit projects. At IBI Group Nathalie has worked on major infrastructure projects, like Eglinton Crosstown and Hurontario LRT. She was also a leading member of sAVe, which was a finalist in the New York Driverless Future Challenge. sAVe is a mobility as a service platform that focuses on the first-last mile problem in the New York City transit deserts.
Nathalie is passionate about the application of emerging technologies and sustainability principles to optimize project outcomes and workflows. Sustainability is a balance of social, environmental, and financial factors, all working together to create a successful outcome. Most recently Nathalie is working with colleagues to develop a parametric model that can facilitate the planning of bus fleet electrification. In addition, Nathalie is working with IBI Group on sustainability initiatives like the AIA 2030 Challenge, the UK Architects Declare Climate Change and Biodiversity Emergency, and Canadian Architectural Professionals Declare Planetary Health Emergency and Commit to Urgent and Sustained Action.
