Steve Anderson has over 20 years’ experience in construction and is currently the lead Safety Manager at one of the top New York utility companies, Bancker Construction, who deals with gas, water and telecommunications work throughout Long Island and NYC. Steve Anderson and Bancker Construction are currently involved with the Third Track Construction (3TC) project happening for the Long Island Rail Road which is adding miles of new track. He is managing Backer’s employees in the field regarding Safety and conducts training for the company such as Osha classes to keep job sites incident and accident free. Steve Anderson entered the military reserves after high school working as a military police officer with three deployments. While in the military he entered the New York City Police Department in 2000 and later on was promoted to Detective while in the narcotics division. After his law enforcement career Mr. Anderson joined the Carpenters Union where he worked as a journeyman and became a superintendent for various companies. Mr. Anderson then decided to move to a safety position where he began working as a safety manager covering crews that were working for National Grid, Con Edison, PSE&G and various water districts on Long Island. Steve Anderson is the CEO of a safety training company that's veteran owned and operated by him, OshaTrainerNY.com, that provides Osha training and safety inspections to companies throughout New York.
