Thomas Fitzgerald is a Senior Sustainability Engineer with Skanska USA Building with 8+ years of experience in the construction management industry. Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Manhattan University and a Master of Science in Environmental Technology & Sustainability from New York Institute of Technology. He has worked on waterfront & healthcare projects in and around the NYC-Metro area. Currently, he manages multiple construction projects sustainability certifications, such as LEED and Envision on higher-ed, mixed-use, data centers and industrial, for Skanska nationally. Thomas is currently busy with consulting work for an international technology client to further advance their embodied carbon quantification utilizing the Skanska co-created tool, EC3 (Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator). He is also attempting to push the boundaries with material circularity on all projects and loves learning about new technologies that help drive the sustainable construction industry forward.
