Victor Caban-Diaz, AIA is currently the Director of BIM for Netta Architects and Managing Principal of Netta Architects' South Florida office. He is also the Owner/CEO of Building Ingenuity, a building information modeling consulting firm, an affiliate company of Netta Architects. Victor has over a decade of experience executing projects as an architect and designer using the building information modeling process. He has also served as a BIM consultant for many projects including the new Milwaukee Bucks Arena in Wisconsin and the Modera Edgewater Residential tower in Miami, FL. His passion for BIM has been heard all over the country as a speaker in a workshop titled "Optimizing BIM/REVIT for your Architecture Firm," where he has educated architects on how to transition their business model from AutoCAD to REVIT/BIM and still be profitable. He also has provided a workshop titled "BIM for Facilities Management" educating municipalities, healthcare, and higher education institutions on the benefits of managing their existing and future assets using Building Information Modeling and COBie. He resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL where is the soccer coach to his 8 year old son and past president of AIA Fort Lauderdale.
