Cynthia Kaplan, Principal - cmk LEED

Cynthia Kaplan, LEED AP BD+C, Assoc AIA is Principal of cmk LEED in South Windsor, CT, founded in 2009. She works as a consultant to architects, engineers, construction management firms and their subcontractors to oversee and assist with the LEED certification process. Cynthia has been an active LEED AP since 2006 and is currently working on LEED projects throughout Southern New England including New Haven, CT, Gardner, MA and Pawtucket, RI. Cynthia served as LEED Coordinator for the Quaker Hill School in Waterford, CT, the State's first LEED certified public school. She also served as LEED Coordinator for the Mary Hooker Environmental Studies Magnet School in Hartford, CT, the first public building in New England to earn LEED Platinum. Cynthia volunteers on the LEED Regionalization Task Force for the US Green Building Council, and is the Southern New England volunteer assessor for the Associated Builders and Contractors' Green Contractor certification program. Most recently, Cynthia served as a volunteer builder for the Bottle School project in rural Guatemala. She is an Adjunct Professor at University of New Haven Tagliatela College of Engineering.
