Elisabetta Barzi, Deputy Project Manager - AECOM

As a Deputy Project Manager at AECOM Metro New York, Elisabetta has worked on a wide range of projects, including an alternate care facility for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in support of a FEMA COVID mission, the first net-zero institutional building in the region, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s climate adaptation plan to reach net-zero by 2050. She was previously a research scholar at the University of California San Diego focused on earthquake engineering. A passionate advocate for the next generation, Elisabetta mentors students at Columbia University’s Center for Buildings, Infrastructure, and Public Spaces, a first-of-its-kind practicum centered around traditional and agile project management methodologies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Bologna in Italy. She started her professional career at AECOM while attending a second Master of Science in Project Management at Harrisburg University. Elisabetta is also a certified Envision Sustainability Professional.
