Lin Shi, Research Fellow at Columbia University Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Space (CBIPS) - Columbia University
Ms. Lin Shi is a graduate student at Columbia University pursuing a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Construction Engineering and Management. Her Bachelor's degree of Engineering in Industrial Design was conferred by Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing, Jiangsu (China), and exposed her to both design and engineering disciplines. Her interest in construction management started when she was taking a quality control course during her bachelor's study, and further developed when she was interning as an assistant cost estimator or the Hande Group Co., Ltd., which is located in Nanning, China. She, as a CBIPS Fellow at Columbia University since the 2021 Spring semester, has participated in research on the relation of the pandemic to the AEC Industry, research with the "Ten Years After" theme, research on Construction Technology, as well as the CBIPS&AECOM Practicum. Throughout her previous experience, she exercised research, interpersonal, and motivational skills, and consistently contributed to team efforts and organizational improvements.
