Lopita Das is an Architectural Designer native to India and raised in Dubai, moved to New York to pursue architecture. The emergence of three cultures and regions of the world helped Lopita learn early on about the power of being authentic and the value of working together for a common good. She graduated from the School of Architecture at Pratt Institute in May of 2021, less than nine months after graduation she is already a director at AIA Brooklyn and a treasurer at NycobaNOMA. It’s those ideas of authenticity and the value of working together for the common good that she has used over the past few months to implement changes to benefit organizations she is a part of. Lopita’s commitment to promoting inclusive design opportunities for diverse industry professionals is evidenced through her engagement in equity and inclusion efforts at AIA Brooklyn and NycobaNOMA.
