As a proud native New Yorker experiencing real estate/construction in NYC immensely undergoing changes, I always had interest and was very versed with the administrative regulatory aspects of facility/real estate construction management. I was also involved in the healthcare operational sector for 20 years that provided the opportunity to raise awareness related to the clinical aspect of providing quality of care to patients. During the anticipated clinical/infrastructure renovations taking place at NYC Health & Hospitals Facilities, adherence to infection control standards play a big role and being that my previous work experience was involved mainly in the regulatory compliance healthcare operational aspect -my goal is to provide guidance/assistance related to the possible patient risks, by coordinating pre-construction risk assessments (PCRA) at the facilities prior to commencing facility infrastructure upgrades. As part of a PCRA being conducted, patient risk infection from construction is evaluated thoroughly by assessing the factors related to patient care and infection control risk assessment (ICRA).
