I have spent the last 10 years in the construction industry, the lionshare of my time spent in the field as a field superintendent for a large GC located in NYC. Moving over to the project management side a few years ago, this opportunity has given me the ability to see projects from the design beginning through the construction finish. I knew I wanted to be in the management world, but wasn't sure where or how when I obtained my B.S. dual-degree in business management and management information systems from Rutgers University Business School. Now I am putting those studies to use, plus some, while trying to pave a path for women in such a male-dominated industry. Making my way through I hope inspires others that trying something so new and uncharted for many of us can result in big rewards and accomplishments and keep pushing us to do more and be more. Besides my career in this amazing industry, I can be found in the gym or somewhere outside working out and training, getting ready for my next OCR (obstacle course race) event, snowboarding in the winter, boating in the summer, or spending time with family and friends.
