Kane Architecture and Urban Design, PLLC is a Brooklyn based architecture and design practice founded in 2012 by Ted Kane. We strongly believe in the added value that design can bring to a project through a process of fresh thinking, sustainable design, and attention to detail. Kane AUD has a particular expertise in Sustainable Design and Building Science, two projects led by Kane AUD were awarded grants from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for support of Carbon Neutral development, including the design of a event space in Hudson NY to achieve Net Zero energy use and the adaptive reuse of a historic building in Catskill NY into a Carbon Neutral/Net Zero Energy 14 Room Boutique Hotel. Our services extend from master planning to construction detailing allowing us to work on many scales and provide rigorous attention to detail from start to finish.
